A County Board committee voted Wednesday to recommend hiring an engineering firm to rebuild the sewage system for a county nursing home.
The county expects to spend roughly $500,000 to rebuild the wastewater removal system for the 117-bed county-owned Valley Hi Nursing Home, at 2406 Heartland Rd., just outside Woodstock.
The county’s Finance and Public Health Committees voted Wednesday to pay an engineering firm up to $55,000 to develop plans for the project. The full County Board is expected to consider the expenditure Tuesday evening.
