If you’re looking to add the Rattler dart gun, the latest in the Max Force line, to your Nerf collection, listen up. Otherwise, it could cost you $10 to find the Rattler is no great shakes. The Rattler comes with four suction-cup darts, a cartridge and four decal stickers. On the back of the box is a small target cut-out. You attach the cartridge in front and load the darts, then pull the handle to release them one at a time. The Rattler is at its best when you’re standing still and aiming at a stationary target. It loses force and accuracy where it counts: in Nerf combat. The first two darts have some oomph; the others wimp out. On the bright side, the Rattler can’t do much damage, so it’s doubtful your folks will have a problem with it. And you won’t have to hear the dreaded “It’s always fun until someone loses an eye” speech.
