Police were looking for a man who brandished a shotgun at a substance abuse clinic Saturday and stole money and drugs used to treat opiate addiction.
Police said the unidentified man entered Therapeutic Intervention, 1645 Hicks Rd., at 11 a.m., displayed a shotgun and announced that he wanted cash and the drug methadone, which is commonly used for the treatment of heroin addiction. An employee placed $4,500 cash and 39 bottles of the drug into a bag and gave it to him. The man then left through a back door, police said. No one was injured.
