Hinsdale Central 60, Lyons 50: No. 3 Hinsdale defeated No. 18 Lyons in a West Suburban Silver battle for the second time this season, putting the Red Devils (19-1, 8-0) in position to win their first conference crown.

Lyons got to within 54-50 with 1:21 left, but Hinsdale’s Autumn Braddock (13 points) hit two free thows and Jenny Pavich (17) hit four to cap the victory. Kelly Maley led Lyons (17-5, 6-3) with 15 points.
“I thought we had it a couple of times, especially when we were up by 14, but they wouldn’t go away,” said Central coach Steve Gross. “They made us win it. It was a great effort by our team to overcome that.”
Batavia 59, Rosary 56: Allison Moe scored 25 points for Batavia (14-3) in non-conference play. Andrea Quintanilla had 15 points and 11 rebounds for Rosary (6-13). With :01 to play, a Rosary player hit a three-point shot that would have tied the score, but her heel was out of bounds.
Downers Grove South 46, Hinsdale South 44: Jamie Bielawski’s 15-footer at the buzzer was the winner for Downers. Bielawski scored 12 points and Katie Wise 10. Hinsdale’s April Norris led all scorers with 13.
Naperville Central 63, Glenbard South 45: Angie Hill scored 18 points and Anne Mucci 17 in the DuPage Valley game for Naperville (12-10, 5-4) which won its fifth straight.
Wheaton Christian 46, Luther North 44: Wheaton Christian (13-6, 6-6) was led in the Private school League by Beth Rooks’ 15 points.
Benet Academy 50, Fenwick 34: Jill Orzehowskie and Leslie Cervantes had 10 each for Benet (15-6. 3-2) in the East Suburban Catholic League. Kristina Fano had 17 for Fenwick.
