Sales have been launched at Mayfair Court, a three-story courtyard condomminium complex that is under construction at 4738 N. Elston Ave., Chicago.
Six of the building’s 18 one- and two-bedroom residences already have been sold, according to Dennis Biedron, vice president of sales and marketing for Pontarelli Builders.
First occupancies are expected early this year.
One of two models offered is the Ascot, a two-bedroom, two-bath unit. It has 1,245 square feet and is priced from $115,900. The Brighton has one bedroom, one bath and 1,131 square feet. It is priced from $105,900.
Monthly assessments range from $90 to $115.
Each residence at Mayfar Court includes an eat-in kitchen, master suite with walk-in closet and private laundry area, with patios on the first floor and balconies on the second and third floors. Designated off-street parking is provided for owners and their guests.
Mayfair Court is the first of 120 condo residences to be built at Mayfair Center, a $50 million mixed-use development on a 10-acre site at Elston and Lawrence Avenues. According to Biedron, Pontarelli is planning to build 100 rental apartments for senior citizens as well as a shopping center with as many as 20 stores.

The redevelopment area, formerly owned by Bankers Life & Casualty Co. of Illinois, included 25 buildings with a total of 550,000 square feet and nearly seven acres of parking.

– Sales will begin Thursday at the 1,375-acre Mill Creek development west of Geneva. The community is planned for 1,892 single-family homes, apartments, lofts, condominiums and townhouses in 22 neighborhoods.
The complex will include a business district, golf course, park system, school and equestrian center.
Initial sales will be conducted in two neighborhoods, one being developed by Sho-Deen Inc., the other by Fox Development Group Ltd.
The Fox community is planned for 102 two-story homes ranging from 1,600 to 2,400 square feet; lot sizes will average 70 by 110 feet. Eight to 10 plans will be offered, base-priced from $180,000 to $240,000. The homes will have three or four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths.
The Sho-Deen community will have 98 homes, priced from about $240,000 to more than $400,000. Portfolio plans are not complete, but the builder expects to offer than 20 plans for homes with three to five bedrooms and 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 baths. Lots will average 90 by 130 feet.
Custom plans also can be built in the community.

– The Ivanhoe Development Group is offering golf course and wooded lots at Ivanhoe Estates, west of Libertyville. This is the second phase of development, following the introduction of multi-family villas there.
Eighty-four single-family home sites adjacent to the Ivanhoe Club golf course are being offered. The lots, which range from one-third to 1 1/2 acres, cost $79,000 to $175,000. – Greystone Realty Corp., a national real estate investment advisor, has signed a joint venture agreement to develop a 340-unit apartment community in Lake County.
The rental complex will be the only multifamily community at the Amhurst Lake Business Park. The project will consist of 17 two- and three-story buildings with a partial brick facade.
The project will be developed through a venture with Bristol Chicago Development Corp.
Most of the units will have two bedrooms and two baths. Some will include fireplaces.
Construction began last fall, and the first units are expected to be open for leasing this spring. The project is scheduled for completion in April, 1996.
Greystone Realty Corp., an independently operated subsidiary of New York Life, manages a $1.3 billion portfolio of income-producing property assets for New York Life and other clients.
– Optima Inc. has opened preconstruction sales at Coromandel, a residential development that will be built on the site of the former Sara Lee Bakery in north suburban Deerfield.
Coromandel is planned for 400 housing units on 48 acres the west side of Waukegan Road just north of Lake-Cook Road. A variety of housing types will be offered and priced from $100,000 to $400,000.
The community will include 16 one-story, single-family manor homes, 68 two-story townhouses, and 316 three-story condominiums. Open space will cover 36 of 48 acres.
