DeKalb tournament: St. Charles shot a blistering 59 percent from the field as the No. 16 Saints (11-0) topped DeKalb 68-41 for the tournament title. Kevin DePaizza hit 6 of 7 three-point attempts and scored 17 of his 20 points in the second half.

Wheeling tournament: No. 15 Deerfield (9-1) advanced to the semifinals with a 93-65 victory over Stevenson. Ryan Hogan scored 24 points and Michael Casey added 23 for the Warriors, who had two 14-2 runs in the first half. “We wanted to turn the energy around and attack their pressure,” said Deerfield coach Steve Pappas. “We are playing as well as can right now.” . . .
