Holzman, whose Misuki perfume was the identifying fragrance in the movie “Scent of a Woman,” has named a line for her hometown: Lake Forest.
Called simply The Lake Forest Perfume and sold in Lake Forest at Dans Un Jardin and Martin’s Pharmacy, the scent is a heady blend of Bulgarian rose, jasmine, linden and lily of the valley.
“It’s sophisticated, like the women of Lake Forest. They love it,” Holzman said. The scent goes for $95 for a half ounce.
One wonders whether this means we will soon be seeing a Shopping Mall Scent on the shelves of the many stores in Schaumburg and an Essence of Oak being sold along the tree-lined streets of Barrington.
