Four local establishments will have their liquor licenses briefly suspended after they were caught selling liquor to minors, officials said.
Mayor Betty Cheever, who also acts as the liquor commissioner, handed out the suspensions this month after finding the businesses guilty of the charges in November.
Cheever said Fairview Liquors, 5016 Fairview Ave., will serve a one-day suspension of its license on Jan. 3, while C&H Fine Wines and Gourmet Goodies, 5133 Main St., will serve a two-day suspension beginning Jan. 2. The Fox Bowl/Eliot’s Deli, 1550 Butterfield Rd., and Carlos Murphy’s Restaurant, 1461 Butterfield, will serve a two-day suspension Jan. 3 and 4, Cheever said.
The establishments were caught selling liquor to a minor during a routine police check of businesses that hold liquor licenses.
