Schaumburg 52, Crystal Lake South 36: Jack Michaels scored 18 points in 20 minutes of play to lead No. 10 Schaumburg (5-0).

Downers Grove South 63, Palatine 42: Antwaun Cubie scored 24 points and Eric Norberg added 15 for Downers South (5-0).

“Palatine is the kind of team that will give you a good defensive test early in the year, and we came in and responded with intensity,” said Downers South coach Dick Flaiz.

Jared Sherman’s 17 points paced Palatine (3-2).

Burlington Central 80, Harvard 68: Gavin Schairer’s 25 points led Burlington Central.

Glenbrook North 69, Roosevelt 40: Joe Hein scored 16 to lead No. 6 Glenbrook (6-0).

Mundelein 79, Warren 58: Sean Stackhouse scored 24 points, Brian McMahon 19 and Ivan Hourrutiner 18 for No. 16 Mundelein (5-1, 2-0) in the North Suburban. Mundelein shot 64 percent from the field. Warren (4-1, 1-1) was led by Ryan Kelver’s 13 points.

Larkin 75, Conant 71: Tim Cadney (24 points) had four steals in a crucial fourth-quarter stretch that helped Larkin (4-2) pull away from a 66-66 tie.

Proviso West 73, Fremd 50: Awvee Storey scored 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds, Eric Reeves added 12 points and Earl Fulton had eight points and seven rebounds for Proviso (3-2) in the non-conference game. Paul Tharp paced Fremd (1-4) with 28 points.

Sycamore 90, Minooka 64: Srdan Selimbejovic’s 26 points led Sycamore (4-0, 1-0) in the Little Seven. Tim Stevens scored 21 points for Minooka (4-1, 1-1).

Lake Forest 50, Antioch 41: Ed Cage had 19 points and 10 rebounds for Lake Forest (4-1, 2-0) in the North Suburban. Eric Echenstahler scored 16 and pulled down 12 rebounds for Antioch (3-2, 2-0).

Glenbrook South 60, Prospect 52: Aaron Schmidt and Jay Leonard scored 21 apiece for Glenbrook (5-1).

Rolling Meadows 67, Holy Cross 54: Jason Racutt’s 19 points led Rolling Meadows (1-4).

Stevenson 62, Libertyville 60: Pete Ferguson scored 28 points-23 in the second half-and Tyler Hawkins added 11 for Stevenson (2-4, 2-0) in the North Suburban. With :01 left, Stevenson’s Ryan Keller sent an in-bounds pass to Brett Gilbert, who scored a turn-around jumper from underneath to win the game. Freshman Lucas McKnight led Libertyville with 15 points, all in the first half.

Larkin 75, Conant 71: Tim Cadney had 26 points and 13 rebounds for Larkin (4-2). Dave DuBois had 19 and Bill Krutch 18 for Conant (2-3).
