WCIU, WFBT TO MOVE FROM CBOT BUILDING

WCIU-Ch. 26 and low-power affiliate WFBT-Ch. 23, which become all-English-speaking independent stations Jan. 1, are planning to move their facilities from the Chicago Board of Trade building to a new studio at 30 N. Halsted St. in the spring.

“We’re building all-new multiple studios and sets, including a working newsroom for `Stock Market Observer,’ ” said station manager Neal Sabin. With 64,000 square feet of space, “we may ask another broadcaster to join us,” he added.
