Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Q-I am a widower, 75, now living with an attractive woman. We get along wonderfully well, but my problem is impotence. I visited a men’s health center which treats male sexual dysfunctions in Florida. It claims to be affiliated with the Boston University Medical Center. It solves the problem with an injection in the penis, which the male administers. The cost is several hundred dollars and follows physical and other examinations. Of course there is no guarantee or anything like that.

We would appreciate it if you would write about your thoughts on male sexual cures.

A-I’m not a medical doctor, so I cannot comment on these injections. Personally, I would try non-invasive methods first. There are two points that you should keep in mind. One is that if a man is worried about obtaining an erection, that worry will make it much more difficult, if not impossible, to obtain it. The other is that a man’s level of testosterone, the male hormone that helps a man get an erection, is highest in the morning.

My advice, therefore, is to set up some appointments with your partner for the morning hours when you can attempt to arouse your penis in a way that will not cause you any mental pressure.

The other thing that you should do during this period while you are attempting to get erections is to make sure that you help your partner to attain sexual satisfaction.
