CHURCH GETS APPROVAL TO MOVE INTO SHOPPING CENTER

Village officials have agreed to let a church move its worship services and other activities into four shopping-center storefronts.

Poplar Creek Community Christian Church, which has been conducting services at various Bartlett elementary schools since the church opened four years ago, will occupy about 9,200 square feet in Streamwood Market Square Shopping Center on Irving Park Road.

“This means we’ll have a stable environment for the next five years and that we’ll continue to grow.” said Pastor David McFadden. The church will look for property in the area, he said.
