Joseph A. Reaves’ top beneficiaries of the strike:
Rick Wilkins-It was a nightmare season for the Cubs catcher, whose average finally got above his weight.
Todd Frohwirth-Red Sox pitcher had a major-league worst 10.80 ERA with 40 hits in 26 2/3 innings.
Sparky Anderson-Tough way for Tiger manager to say goodbye to MoTown-in last place and sinking.
Rick Gutierrez-Padres shortstop can’t add to his 22 errors as long as the strike continues.
Jeff Bagwell-The NL MVP doesn’t have to watch the Astros fade while his broken hand heals.
