Chris Forberg carried 28 times for 232 yards Friday night as Willowbrook recorded a 35-6 non-conference victory over Proviso West.

Quarterback Justin Hollman completed 10 of 13 for 146 yards, threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another. He completed his first eight passes.

“The key to tonight’s game was execution on the front line,” said Willowbrook coach Paul Maggiore. “Our kids surprisingly dominated.”

Prosser 19, Clemente 6: Prosser grabbed a 19-0 halftime lead on the way to its Public League North-Central victory.

“Our defense got good field position for the offense,” Prosser coach Jon Cerbin said. “We did a nice job of tackling but, offensively, we got sloppy in the second half.”

Mike Watson led a balanced Prosser rushing attack with 39 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Kevin Page and Wesely Berryhill each had seven tackles for the defense, which forced three fumbles.

“We expected a hard battle from Clemente and we got it,” Cerbin said. “The kids were disappointed not getting the shutout but they (Clemente) played hard in the second half and deserved to score.”

Andre Figueroa (15 carries, 68 yards) accounted for Clemente’s touchdown with his 25-yard reception with 56 seconds left.

Marshall 46, Orr 16: Lafayette Fain rushed for 253 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries and quarterback Terrence Jones completed 5 of 9 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown as Marshall (1-1) rolled in the Public Northwest. Jones also had 12 carries for 103 yards and a score for Marshall, which had 487 offensive yards.

Kennedy 30, Bowen 14: Kenyon Boyce gained 183 yards on 20 carries and scored two touchdowns as Kennedy (2-0) cruised to the non-conference victory. Boyce, who also had an 85-yard kickoff return for a score, had 268 yards of total offense. Bowen’s Arvis Emmons (14 carries, 158 yards) scored both touchdowns.

Oswego 28, Crystal Lake Central 6: Joey Goodspeed led the Panthers’ defense with 16 tackles and scored on a 27-yard run on offense to help Oswego (2-0) shut down Crystal Lake Central (0-2). Jason Voelker (9 of 19, 169 yards) tossed two touchdown passes, including a 43-yard strike to Kevin Ode (3 receptions, 66 yards).

Maine East 37, Niles North 6: David Christie carried 10 times for 103 yards and had a 26-yard touchdown run to spark Maine East to a non-conference victory.

Geneva 7, Sycamore 6: Chris Cellini rushed 15 times for 54 yards and the eventual game-winning touchdown as Geneva (1-1, 1-1) escaped with the Little Seven victory. Sycamore (0-2, 0-2) scored on its next drive but missed the extra-point attempt.

Waubonsie Valley 43, Larkin 16: Quarterback Tony Vasconez (12 of 15, 190 yards) threw three touchdown passes to lead the Warriors (1-1, 1-0) past Larkin (0-2, 0-2) in the Upstate Eight.

Vasconez broke the game open with a 19-yard scoring pass to Mark Cannan with 59 seconds left in the first half for a 22-8 lead. Tyrone Gooch had 26 carries for 208 yards and two touchdowns.

York 23, Leyden 7: Eric Anderson rushed 23 times for 122 yards as York (1-1) held Leyden (0-2) scoreless for the first three quarters. Steve Borta scored two rushing touchdowns.

Lake Forest 40, Fenton 12: Quarterback Ryan Douglass scored on 12- and 43-yard runs and running back Rob Eckert added two more touchdowns as Lake Forest (1-1) beat Fenton (0-2).

Glenbard West 28, Hinsdale South 7: Ben Russell ran for 170 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Hilltoppers (1-1) in the West Suburban crossover game.

DeKalb 22, Streamwood 12: Chad Beatty (9 of 14, 218 yards) hit Jason Mattis for a 75-yard touchdown as DeKalb (1-1) beat Streamwood (1-1) in the Upstate Eight for the Barbs first victory since 1992. Mattis finished with six catches for 175 yards and Paul Benson scored two rushing touchdowns.

Oak Park 43, Addison Trail 7: Darryl Baker rushed 11 times for 142 yards and two touchdowns and Rick King added 102 yards and two scores as Oak Park (1-1) beat Addison Trail (0-2).
