Palatine 18, Hoffman Estates 0: After its season-opening loss last week, Palatine rebounded in a big way, holding Hoffman Estates to 23 yards total offense in coming up with the non-conference shutout.

“Our offensive line is good,” Petricca said. “We can really move the ball well and I’m happy with where we’re at because we have some things to build on.”

Hoffman Estates was held to minus-8 yards rushing on 18 carries and had six fumbles on the quarterback-center exchange. But it didn’t matter as the Pirates defense recorded four sacks and held leading rusher Nick Iovanelli to 8 yards on nine carries.
