Outlook: A strong defense last year, second in the Big 10 and 10th in the country, was shorn by graduation and only three starters are back. Considering that the prospect for an improved offense is iffy, that leaves the Hoosiers as a long shot to contend this season. But after going to three bowls in the last four years, Indiana isn’t counting itself out of postseason play. To be realistic, though, the two stars of this team are the punter and the kicker. Enough said.
