A local man was arrested after he allegedly entered an apartment early Wednesday and attempted to remove the shorts from a 13-year-old girl while she was asleep.
Carlos R. Mancera, 20, of 4929 Weber Drive was charged with felony obstruction of justice, simple battery, criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to property.
Police said the girl awoke and found a man tugging on her shorts in the living room of her apartment in the 4900 block of Algonquin Parkway. She told police Mancera is a friend of her brother’s.
