Police were searching for a man wielding a semiautomatic weapon who held up a convenience store and fled with about $100.
The robber, described as being in his late teens, entered the White Hen Pantry at 1580 S. Busse Rd. shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday and left because other people were in the store, Cmdr. Joseph Kolanowski said.
The man returned about 15 minutes later, pointed the gun, believed to be a MAC-10, at the cashier, and demanded all the money in the drawer, Kolanowski said.
