Power to …: For those old enough to remember Woodstock, it doesn’t seem like 25 years ago. To jog memories of how Crosby, Stills and Nash used to look or for young whipper-snappers who want to see what all the fuss was about, the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave., is presenting an extended-length “Woodstock” Friday through Thursday. This version of the Oscar-winning documentary contains an additional 40 minutes of footage not seen in the original, including two previously unreleased tunes from Janis Joplin. Tickets are $7. For show times call 312-871-6604.

This Bud’s for you: Babyface, Danny Glover and Laurence Fishburne are among the celebs who will be marching in the 65th annual Bud Billiken Day Parade, which kicks off at 10 a.m. Saturday. If you have a baby, bring the toddler along for a gubernatorial candidate to kiss-if they’re running for office, they’ll be there. The theme of this year’s parade is “Save Our Children. Stop the Violence.” Beginning at 39th Street and Martin Luther King Drive, the route continues on the Drive into Washington Park, where it winds up at 55th Street.

Last chance: The 37 pieces in “Chiseled With a Brush: Italian Sculpture, 1860-1925, From the Gilgore Collections,” form a splendid exhibition that introduces many unfamiliar figures in an area of art history virtually unknown in the United States. It closes Sunday at the Art Institute of Chicago, Michigan Avenue at Adams Street.

Say wheeze: Imagine a world where “designer” air is sold as “Bali Breezes” or “Gusts from the Great Barrier Reef,” while the rest of humanity can barely breathe. You don’t have to: It’s all in “Gasping,” a dark British comedy at Interplay. Phone 312-654-1055.
