A new ordinance should make it easier for residents to get a cab.
Trustees have unanimously approved a measure that will give all three cab companies in the village licenses allowing them 15 more cabs each, bringing the total to 25 apiece.
The additional cabs should make it easier for senior citizens and others who depend on the cabs for transportation, officials said.

Residents who are over 65 or disabled are entitled to participate in a taxi-coupon program, in which participants can buy discount coupons for cab service.
