A 70-year-old Melrose Park woman was killed in rush-hour traffic as she tried to turn onto Roosevelt Road in Glen Ellyn, authorities said Tuesday.
Eleanor Iorii of 717 11th St. was pronounced dead Monday evening at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove, authorities said.
She was turning from Briar Street onto Roosevelt Road about 5:50 p.m. Monday when she was struck by a westbound car, authorities said. The driver of that car, Craig Consoer Jr., 24, of Hoffman Estates, was listed in good condition at Good Samaritan.
