A village resident’s death late last year from a collision at Curtiss Street and Forest Avenue has led to a petition urging village officials to make the intersection safer.
Mae Marvin, whose husband, Fred, died in October from injuries sustained when he was hit by a car as he walked across Curtiss near Forest, pleaded with officials at a recent City Council meeting to do something about the intersection. She was backed by a petition signed by more than 400 residents sseeking a solution to the traffic at the intersection, which often frightens pedestrians.
