Phil Jackson boldly predicted New York would have no home-court advantage last Sunday.

“Well, I was wrong,” Jackson said after the Bulls were eliminated 87-77 by the Knicks.

Without Michael Jordan to turn to in the fourth quarter, the Bulls turned out to be exactly what Jordan often described them as: a “supporting cast.”

– Try 6-of-18 shooting.

– Try two points from Scottie Pippen on 1-of-5 shooting.

– Try one offensive rebound.

– Try two baskets in the last 5:00.

– Try 14 points.

Was it the Knicks’ defense or just bad shooting?

“We had good shots,” B.J. Armstrong said. ” As long as you get (them), what more can you ask?”

How about making some?

“We came apart a little bit at the seams in the fourth quarter,” said Jackson.

Wrong again, Phil. Try a lot.
