Six Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy students have qualified to take the USA Mathematical Olympiad exam that will help determine the U.S. team for a worldwide competition.

They are among 146 high school students in the nation selected.
The students are Stephen Wang, St. Charles; Christopher Jeris, Naperville; Francis Kim, Naperville; Neil Rubin, Libertyville; Venkatesh Natarajan, Inverness; and Nicholas Rogers, Belleville.
This year, the international competition for high school math students will be from July 8 through 20 in Hong Kong.
