At last, Sergei Krivokrasov gets his long-awaited chance in the National Hockey League.

The Blackhawks recalled the right wing from Indianapolis of the International Hockey League on Monday. He will play Thursday night at the Stadium against Winnipeg.

Krivokrasov, the Hawks’ No. 1 pick and 12th overall in 1992, had 18 goals and 23 assists for the Ice this season. He played four games with the Hawks last season without scoring a point.

Coach Darryl Sutter is planning to use Krivokrasov with his two minor-league linemates, center Jeff Shantz and left wing Steve Dubinsky.
