Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

One of sports hoariest totems goes like this. A team’s personality reflects its coach’s. Need proof? Only Georgia Tech need be called to the witness stand.

The Yellow Jackets are coached by Bobby Cremins, who provided a bit of entertainment last off-season by accepting the head job at South Carolina, sleeping on his decision, and then announcing that, nah, he didn’t want it after all. He wanted to instead stay in Atlanta.

So can it be any surprise that his players are a bit schizophrenic? That they won last spring’s ACC tournament by defeating North Carolina, and then lost to Southern in the first round of the NCAA tourney? That they upset then-No. 1 North Carolina last month, and then lost their next two and four of their next five. That they again upset again-No. 1 Carolina last Saturday, and then. . . .

For those of you with no schedule handy but an inclination for wagering a bob or two, Tech’s next game is Saturday against Wake Forest.
