Two people were killed and three others were seriously injured early Sunday in a head-on collision on Illinois Highway 53 near Glen Ellyn.
Du Page County authorities said a 1984 Chevrolet station wagon driven by Juan Almora, 30, of Rolling Meadows, was southbound on Illinois Highway 53 near Ironwood Drive when it collided with a Ford pickup truck driven by Donald Goetz, 24, of Villa Park.
Killed were Almora and Ricardo Domingues, also of Rolling Meadows, who was a passenger in the station wagon, according to Du Page County Coroner Richard Ballinger.
Two other passengers in the station wagon-Gustavo Aguirre, of Rolling Meadows, and Anselmo Tolentino, of Chicago-were reported in serious condition at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. Goetz was reported in serious condition at Edward Hospital in Naperville.
