A Cook County judge Wednesday refused to allow the attorney representing a man accused of killing his infant son in August access to his client’s adoption records.
Assistant Public Defender Vito Colucci, representing Charles Arens of Arlington Heights on first-degree murder charges, said he needs the information to prepare his defense in the capital case, saying his client could have suffered some genetic defect that might explain his behavior.
