Three new films hit movie screens last weekend and only one-“Blink”-stuck.

The flops included the movie version of the old TV series “Car 54, Where Are You?,” which made $791,000 in its first week of release, good for only 17th place, according to figures released Monday.

“Golden Gate,” starring Matt Dillon and Joan Chen, did even worse. Panned by even the most kindhearted critics, the film plunged to its death in its premiere weekend, taking in $258,000.

“Blink,” a thriller starring Madeleine Stowe, took in $4.4 million to finish fourth overall. It was the only new film in wide release that did well.

“The Scent of Green Papaya,” Vietnam’s official entry for Academy Award consideration in the foreign language category, played well in just one theater in New York City.

“Mrs. Doubtfire” finished first on a gate of $7.7 million, as the movie that put Robin Williams in a dress showed no signs of slowing down in its 10th week of release. “Mrs. Doubtfire” has grossed $172.5 million to date and is almost certain to pass the $200 million mark within a month. Second was “Philadelphia” with $7.3 million, followed by “Grumpy Old Men” with $5.1 million.

“Intersection” grossed $4 million for fifth place, “Iron Will” netted $3.2 million for sixth and “Schindler’s List” was seventh with $3.1 million.

“The Pelican Brief” earned $2.8 million for eighth, followed by “Shadowlands” with $2.44 million and “Tombstone” on a gate of $2.38 million.
