Lawrence Coleman, 50, is accused of killing Fred Duncan, 44, whose body was found Oct. 29 in a burning house that Will County Sheriff Thomas Fitzgerald said was used to peddle drugs and was a known gang hangout.
Although the cause of death was listed as carbon monoxide poisoning, investigators from the Sheriff’s Department, the state fire marshal and the Lockport Fire Department were able to determine that the death was a homicide. Coleman was arrested Wednesday morning.
