The play of Detroit Lions running back Eric Lynch, an unheralded third-stringer from Grand Valley State, may have come as a surprise to some Sunday. It didn’t surprise Lynch or his teammates.
“As long as I’ve been in the NFL, I’ve tried to figure that I believe I belong here,” said Lynch, who ran for 85 yards and caught seven passes for 46 more.
“It was just a matter of him getting an opportunity,” said quarterback Erik Kramer.
