Village officials have unveiled a nearly $4 million proposed property tax levy for 1993 that would yield 2 percent more than what the village received in property taxes the previous year. Taxes for 1993 are payable in 1994.
If the proposed levy passes, the owners of a $120,000 house would pay about $259 in property taxes to the village next year, a $3 increase from the amount they paid this year.
The new tax rate is $1.24 for each $100 of equalized assessed valuation, which is 2 cents higher than the previous year.
