Officials have unveiled a proposed $6.97 million aggregate levy for 1993 that is 5 percent higher than last year’s levy.

An aggregate levy includes the levies for the corporate fund, civil defense and library, police and fire pensions, and the IMRF and FICA funds. It does not include debt service.

Because the library is requesting a $2 million levy, which is 9.4 percent more than it received in taxes last year and the village wishes to limit the total aggregate levy increase to 5 percent, the village levy is limited to a 3.3 percent increase.
