A 4-year-old Bolingbrook girl died Sunday from severe head and internal injuries she suffered in a car accident Nov. 4.
Police said Mallory Conn, of 1145 Partridge Lane, had been in the front seat next to her mother, Michelle Malcolm, 21, when their car was struck by a vehicle turning left at the intersection of Boughton and Schmidt Roads.
Although state law requires children up to the age of 6 to be restrained in a safety seat or with a seat belt, Mallory was not, said Bolingbrook Police Dept. Lt. Henry Bauchwitz.

Mallory and her mother were taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville and then flown by emergency air transport to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. Malcolm was treated for a fractured pelvis and released Nov. 11.
The driver of the other car, Steven Glosky, 21, of 308 Ottawa St. in Bolingbrook, was not seriously injured. He was charged with making an improper turn at an intersection, said Bauchwitz.
It is unclear how fast Malcolm was driving at the time of the accident, Bauchwitz said.
