Officials are considering a category of liquor license that would allow restaurants to sell the full range of beverages in an outdoor setting.
The one catch is that the new license would be available only to restaurants that have a full-service license, officials said.

The City Council held a first reading this week on an ordinance creating the category. The council is expected to approve the ordinance Nov. 15, Ald. Rory Weiler said.
