Arts organizations in two Lake County communities will be among those receiving grants from the Illinois Arts Council in the coming year, state Sen. Grace Mary Stern (D-Highland Park) announced recently.
Nearly 30 organizations received grants in Stern’s Senate District 29, which encompasses part of the north and northwest suburbs.
Lake County organizations receiving grants are: the Ravinia Festival Association of Highland Park, which was awarded $52,000; and the Barrington Area Arts Council, which was awarded $22,000.
