Cubs General Manager Larry Himes and manager Jim Lefebvre met in Arizona as planned Tuesday to discuss various issues that will determine Lefebvre’s future with the organization.
A second meeting, also planned earlier, was set for Wednesday. Himes had said over the weekend a decision regarding Lefebvre would be announced after that second meeting.
A source close to Lefebvre said the manager described Tuesday’s session as “very positive.”
