Cheryl Monroe was driving north on U.S. 45 early Sunday when her car went off the road just north of Sand Lake Road, through a soybean field for 500 feet and then rolled over five times, said Lake County Sheriff’s Sgt. Greg Guntharp.
Monroe was thrown from the car and was pronounced dead about 9:15 a.m. Sunday.
The accident occurred between 4 and 8 a.m., Guntharp said. Monroe’s car was not visible from U.S. 45 and wasn’t discovered until a farmer noticed the car in the soybean field.
