A Grayslake woman has died three weeks after the car she was riding in rear-ended a semi on Interstate Highway 94.
Debra Depp, 38, was pronounced dead at 10:46 p.m. Tuesday in Highland Park Hospital, said Lake County Deputy Coroner James Wipper.
On July 31, Depp was a passenger in a car traveling north on I-94, a half-mile north of the Deerfield Toll Plaza, when the car ran into the back of a semi, said state police Sgt. Thomas Reilly.
The driver of the car, Jack Frost, 42, of Grayslake, was charged with following too close to another vehicle, Reilly said.
