HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS’ NEW CONTRACT PROVIDES 2.9% ANNUAL RAISE

Downers Grove high school teachers will receive an average 2.9 percent increase in salary and medical insurance benefits in each of the next two years in a new contract.

Pay and health insurance benefits for beginning teachers with a bachelor’s degree will be $32,690 in 1993-94 at Downers Grove North and South High Schools. The maximum for a master’s degree and 17 years of experience will be $70,660.
