Three residents who say they are sensitive to a chemical used by the suburb to eradicate weeds, sued Wednesday to stop the spraying, but a judge refused to grant the request.
The lawsuit, filed in Cook County Circuit Court, had asked for a court order to halt Hinsdale from using the weed killer, at least until the Illinois Human Rights Commission rules on a similar case.
Stuart Altschuler, one of the attorneys who brought the suit, said he expects a ruling within the next few weeks on a complaint he filed before the human rights board.
