Seemingly not content to clinch a conference championship, Danielle Gladstone added an exclamation point to top-ranked Rich East’s celebration Tuesday, pitching a no-hitter in a 4-0 victory over Crete-Monee.
Gladstone struck out nine and walked nobody in her seven-inning gem, which ran her record to 18-0. No. 1 Rich East, which clinched the SICA South title with the victory, is 22-0.
Katie Breneman and Sara Flamini had RBI doubles.
Morton 15, Leyden 0-Michelle Kobela struck out seven en route to a one-hitter for No. 2 Morton (25-3, 9-1), running her record to 19-2. It was Kobela’s ninth shutout this season.
“We’ve had a long layoff just in terms of scheduling,” said Morton coach Art Kasak, “so this was a good confidence-builder for our program.”
Tammy Pytel’s two-run triple keyed a nine-run third inning and Heather Tang finished with three hits and three runs scored.
Downers Grove South 8, Willowbrook 1-Amy Elza tossed a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts to win her 19th game for No. 3 Downers South (25-1, 10-1 in the West Suburban Gold). Debbie Mays’ three-run homer in the second was the big hit.
Morris 4, Lockport 0-Joy Battersby’s two-hitter featured eight strikeouts for No. 4 Morris (27-2).
R-B invitational-Annette Rebellato pitched No. 5 Riverside-Brookfield to its 25th victory without a loss, beating IMSA 3-1 with a three-hitter. Rebellato, winner of all 25 games, struck out 13.
Bremen 4, Hillcrest 1-Melissa Boger went 3 for 3 with an RBI and Kelly McManus hurled a five-hitter as Bremen (15-10, 7-2) captured the SICA Central contest.
Fenton 6, Stevenson 5-Liz Raniere’s ground ball scored Jeannie Lukacek with the winning run to cap a four-run seventh for Fenton (10-12, 6-9 in the North Suburban). Winning pitcher Beth Linker had tied the game with a two-run homer.
Hinsdale South 13, Proviso East 4-Misty Soderholm was 3 for 3 with a two-run triple and Glynda Davidson added two hits and a two-run double to back the complete-game pitching of Cami Persson. Hinsdale South is 19-7, 6-5 in West Suburban Gold.
Johnsburg 4, McHenry 3-Dawn Stewart homered and drove in three runs to lead Johnsburg (15-0) to the non-conference victory.

Libertyville 10, Zion-Benton 0-Kerry Gustafson fired a five-inning no-hitter with nine strikeouts and Lindsey Celba homered and drove in two runs for Libertyville (14-9, 11-4) in the North Suburban.
Lyons 10, Proviso West 0-Nicole Genna fired a perfect game with 11 strikeouts and Jaimie Lehotsky belted a two-run homer for Lyons (12-11, 5-4) in the West Suburban Silver.
Near North 11, Lincoln Park 6-Elizabeth Velasquez had a bases-clearing double and Deborah Coleman struck out 13 as Near North (12-2, 11-1) clinched at least a tie in the Public League North-Central.
Oak Forest 7, Thornton Fractional North 6-Julia Spencer’s two-out RBI single in the seventh lifted Oak Forest (14-16, 6-3) to the SICA Central victory.
Reed-Custer 8, Plano 0-Interstate Eight champion Reed-Custer (24-6, 13-1) got a sixth-inning grand slam from Samantha Liston snap a scoreless tie. Tennille Wren fired a two-hitter and added two hits.
Richards 3, Maria 0-Dana Ball homered to back the three-hit pitching of Amanda Flaws as Richards improved to 20-5.
Ridgewood 7, Driscoll 5-Jamie Marsh’s two-run single in the sixth lifted Ridgewood (12-11). Michelle Dombroski earned the victory in relief and Beth Johnson had a two-run double.
Rosary 7, Glenbard North 4-Winning pitcher Adrienne LeFevre went 3 for 4 with two RBIs for Rosary (20-5).
Sandwich 10-11, Aurora Christian 1-3-Kim Flowers, Angie Miller and Jaime Meade all had two RBIs to lead Sandwich in Game 1, and Miller added three RBIs to help Sandwich (12-12) earn the sweep.
Thornton Fractional South 7, Tinley Park 6-Lisa Olson singled in two runs and Tracy Brown went the distance for T.F. South (18-9-1) in the SICA Central.
Wheaton Christian regional-Winning pitcher Karen Fields belted a two-run homer, Jessica Hofmann added a solo shot and Kelly Lueders went 2 for 3 with an RBI as Wheaton Christian (11-10) cruised to a 13-3 victory over Elgin Academy.
