NIU beat Wright State, Western Illinois and Wisconsin-Green Bay by 5-0 scores. The victory over Green Bay in the final marked the 24th straight conference match won by the Huskies.
Tracy Meade’s no-hitter highlighted the softball team’s 4-0 victory Saturday over Valparaiso, and the 12th-ranked Huskies completed the sweep with a 14-1 pounding to improve to 34-13, 12-2 in the Mid-Con. Meade (16-7) struck out nine and walked four.
