Twenty young men from McHenry County and Carpentersville have been arrested on drug charges following a two-month undercover investigation that centered on Crystal Lake South High School.

The suspects, age 15 to 21, face charges ranging from unlawful delivery of LSD to possession of PCP, according to the North Central Narcotics Task Force of the Illinois State Police, which made the arrests.
The arrests broke up an LSD trafficking ring that was operated mainly by teenagers, police said.
“What is particularly disturbing about this investigation is the very young age of the defendants and the seriousness of their charges,” said Capt. Rick Rokusek. “LSD continues to be a very visible drug in McHenry County, and the (task force) will continue to target LSD traffickers, especially those who distribute the drug in and near area schools.”
