Here’s the schedule for the second annual National Concert Band Festival, to be held on the Northwestern University campus in Evanston on March 26 and 27.
Fourteen high school concert bands will perform at Pick-Staiger Hall, 1999 N. Sheridan Rd., Evanston.
On Friday, five bands will perform from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; four bands perform from 7 to 10:30 p.m.
On Saturday, Niles North Symphonic Band and Lockport Township Symphonic Band will perform with three other groups between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
On Saturday at 8 p.m., Honor Band of America, which includes top students from the participating bands, will perform with guest soloist Jim Walker, formerly of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, at Welsh-Ryan Auditorium, 1501 Central St., Evanston.
