”People would not walk up to a woman and say `Boy, you have really small breasts,”` says Thomas Cash, Ph.D., a professor of psychology at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. Yet, ”It`s fair game to tease guys,” says Cash, also a clinical psychologist who conducts research on physical appearance issues.
In studying men going bald-there are about 30 million in the U.S.-Cash confirmed that remarks about their hair loss are just as hurtful, if not more so, than those aimed at overweight women.
