– Waubonsie Valley 43, Moline 14-Waubonsie Valley (10-0) won its first playoff game in four tries, scoring on five straight possessions at one point.

Broc Kreitz opened the scoring with a 43-yard interception return, but Mike Wendt brought Moline (7-3) even with a 9-yard run in the first quarter. Kirk Williams (nine carries, 79 yards) broke a 51-yard touchdown run, and the Waubonsie streak was on.

Marcus Forrest (11 carries, 128 yards) scored on runs of 5, 36 and 36 yards, and Kreitz added a 2-yard score as Waubonsie Valley scored 35 points in two quarters.

”The key was coming back and scoring after they scored,” said Waubonsie coach B.J. Luke. ”It showed that our team had a lot of poise.”
