Tempel Farms was besieged by phone calls Monday after news reports of the death of three Lipizzaner stallions following a weekend performance at Western Illinois University in Macomb.
But officials of the Wadsworth farm told callers that the horses were not part of their troupe, according to a Tempel spokeswoman.
The horses had suffered heart attacks after eating Japanese yew leaves near the performance site, a company spokeswoman said Monday.
The horses belonged to a Florida firm.
