FAMILY OF SLAIN BALLPLAYER OFFERS $10,000 TO NAB KILLER

The family of a 37-year-old Westmont man slain in Berwyn last week is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of his killer, a family spokesman said Wednesday.

Edward Gregoire, of 419 Cove Lane, was in the drive-through lane of White Castle at Harlem and Ogden Avenues in Berwyn, on Sept. 3 when he was shot once in the stomach, said Berwyn Detective Mike Romano.

Before stopping at the restaurant, Gregoire had played softball and then spent some time with friends in a Berwyn tavern.
