Baseball
– Bill Cusack, Andrew-The junior outfielder went 7 for 12 in three games with a pair of doubles, a home run and six RBIs. He batted .583 during that time.
– Nelson Melon, Steinmetz-The junior went 6 for 10 with four RBIs in three games. He also was the winning pitcher in two of those games. Monday, he came on in relief in a game Steinmetz was losing 11-4; the team rallied to win 15-12. And Wednesday, he no-hit Von Steuben while striking out 11.
Softball
– Kate Enochs, Benet-The senior was 5-0 during the week, including two no-hitters and two one-hitters. She allowed only two earned runs and struck out 48 over that span.
– Anne Vogt, Larkin-The senior shortstop was 13 for 22 (.590). Among her hits: a homer, two doubles and a triple. She had 16 RBIs and scored 12 runs. The team went 5-0 during her tear.
– Teresa Young, Evanston-She was 10 for 12, scored seven runs, hit four home runs and had eight stolen bases and 10 RBIs.
Soccer
– Holly Francis, Maine South-The senior goalkeeper had three shutouts. She has allowed only one goal, off a penalty kick, all season.
Volleyball
– Andy Nedzel, Fremd-The senior outside hitter was 144 of 150 in hitting attempts. He had 76 kills, 12 service aces, 12 solo kill blocks and nine assists. Fremd went 5-0 during the week.
– Adam Naskrent, Conant-The senior setter/hitter averaged nearly eight assists in six matches and helped lead Conant to its own invitational title.

– Laura Kretz, Maine East-In a Tuesday triangular, she finished first in three events and second in one. Saturday at the Morton Invitational, she ran on two championship relays, won the 100 high hurdles in meet-record time (:16.81) and was fourth in the 300 low hurdles while helping lead Maine East to the team title.
– Jill Barefoot, Hoffman Estates-In a dual meet with Palatine she won the 3,200, and in a dual meet at Hersey, she ran on the winning 3,200 relay team. At Saturday`s Morton Invitational, she won the 1,600, ran anchor on the winning 1,600 relay team and ran the first leg of the winning 3,200 relay team.
